Dawn Perhacs, CYT, LMT - Owner
Dawn, the owner of The Yoga Room, has been practicing yoga for thirty-three years and teaching for twenty-six years. She continues
to train at Kripalu Health Center in Lenox, Massachusetts, and other training centers.
She maintains Certified Yoga Instructor certification from Kripalu and Licensed Massage Therapist certification and
is a Registered Yoga Instructor with the Yoga Alliance. Dawn has been trained
to teach Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Hatha Yoga, partner yoga, chair yoga (for people with physical limitations),
massage, meditation, and breath-work.
When she is not working, Dawn
enjoys golf, photography, walking, dancing, studying and learning more about yoga, health, and wellness, and “grandma-ing.”

the Yoga Room, Dawn offers reiki, massage, polarity, and orthobionomy treatments. If

Mary Brown, RYT
She is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance and a Certified
Relax and Renew Trainer (restorative yoga). Mary has been teaching for 6 years.
Mary is also a Reiki 2 practioner and a certified Reflexologist. Other interests include aromatherapy.
A note from Mary: It is my belief that yoga is a healing
modality, and it is from that belief that I teach yoga.
Kathy Dew, RYT
Kathy has been practicing yoga for fourteen
years and teaching for one year. She completed her training with the American
Yoga Association in 2004 and earned her Licensed Yoga Instructor certification. She
currently teaches classes in Beginning Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and Yoga for Children.
Kathy describes herself as an outdoors
person. She enjoys riding her bicycle, walking, and practicing yoga.

A note from Kathy: Because I love spending time outdoors, Dr. Forrest Shaklee’s motto, “Living in harmony
with nature,” is my belief, too. It’s the whole person that matters
– the mental, spiritual, and physical parts of each of us all coming together.
Yoga and nutrition are parts of the whole picture, and I love sharing and teaching what I have learned.
Ed Istnick, Jr.
Ed is offering Beginning Tai Chi classes at the Yoga Room. He has been practicing Tai Chi for twenty years and
teaching for ten years. Ed trained first in the external martial arts and then
in the internal martial arts. He trained in Poekolan Kung Fu at Dragons
Temple and in Chon Style Tai Chi with Marie Lew.
When the weather permits, you might find
him practicing one of the martial arts in his back yard or in Wick
Park. During his free
time, Ed also enjoys motorcycling, scuba diving, playing and listening to music, and learning more about and practicing martial
arts. He says, “I’ve been fortunate to have things I enjoy and
the time to pursue them. My twenty-five years of school bus driving has given
me this opportunity.”

Judy Kay - DansKinetics
Judy has been practicing yoga for twenty-five years and
has taught DansKinetics for one year. She trained
at Kripalu
Health Center in Lenox, Massachusetts.
She maintains both Licensed Yoga Instructor and Licensed Massage Therapist certifications.
Judy is an active docent at the Butler
Institute of American Art, where she especially enjoys leading tours for underprivileged children who may have never been
exposed to the arts. She also loves to swim, cook, and travel all over the world. In the past, she has owned jewelry stores and has worked as a travel agent and as
a real estate agent.

Maureen Lauer-Gatta, RYT
Maureen
has been practicing yoga for seven years and teaching
for one and a half years. She trained at Inner Wellness and earned her Registered
Yoga Teacher certification. She has been trained to teach Beginning and Intermediate
Hatha Yoga and Children's Yoga. The Hatha, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, and Vinyasa approaches
to yoga influence her teaching methods.
When she is not working, Maureen
enjoys crocheting, training dogs, helping her mother with her foster children, and most of all spending time with her husband,
John.

Beth Montgomery - Pilates and Life after Breast Cancer
Beth has been practicing yoga for twenty years and teaching yoga for seven years. She trained at the Yoga Training Association of Pittsburgh. She
has earned her Licensed Yoga Instructor certification. Beth has been trained
to teach both Hatha and Iyengar yoga, as well as Pilates.

Carolyn Raub, RYT
Carolyn is our newest teacher. She completed her training at Inner
Wellness Healing Arts Studio and School in Boardman, Ohio and received her Licensed Yoga Instructor certification through
Yoga Alliance in 2006 to teach Hatha yoga beginner and intermediate), chair yoga, breath techniques, and meditation.
Carolyn has been practicing yoga for five years.

Carolyn enjoys spending time with her puppy, Yogi, and doing things around
the house. She also enjoys horseback riding, being outside in nature, walking, spending time with animals, practicing
yoga, and meditating. She is also interested in health, nutrition, and overall health issues. She takes part in
Sunday school at her church and is actively involved in animal welfare and a horse camp for underprivileged children.
A note from Carolyn: I am finding the more time you allow to know yourself,
the more your inner power is revealed. Your potential is endless, if you so choose.
